Inner Child Work

Some people think the past should just stay in the past…

…and we all wish we could push intense, painful emotions away and not deal with them.

But childhood trauma and pain don’t work that way. When we bury unwanted emotions, often we can’t experience joy and love.

The past is always there, and it will return with a vengeance in your adulthood.

Childhood trauma can force children to hide an experience and their intense emotions. Children are then filled with shame and abandonment and conceal their feelings, repressing what has happened to them.

If these intense emotions are repressed as an adult, self-sabotage can emerge, driving away relationships. It’s difficult for a partner to fulfill the demands of resolving their partner’s abandonment. These intense emotions and fears can damage a relationship before it even has room to grow.

Inner child work can unlock your authentic self…

… and help adults discover self-love, their inner-light, and joy.

It helps you learn to discover and embrace the gifts you were born with.

Inner child work is a healing model that helps adults resolve emotional wounds and trauma from their childhood.

Often, the wounds have been ignored and hidden as the child grows into adulthood. Every person has an inner child that is part of their psyche. If the scars have been unaddressed or repressed, they manifest as shame, guilt, and self-sabotaging behavior in adulthood.

Trauma and emotional issues from childhood do not go away on their own, so you need a skilled practitioner with experience in this unique type of healing to work with you.

I can help and have many years of experience and training for this work.

Ignoring the memories and pain from childhood means that the past is still in control. Living in the pain of the past prevents us from enjoying the present and embracing the hope of the future.

Part of the healing process is expressing through experiential therapy using visualization, journaling, art therapy, and learning to re-parent or self-parent your inner child.

Self-parenting yourself is learning to treat yourself with the love and respect, and dignity you deserved as a child.

This healing will take work…

… but I will be with you on this journey.

Let’s put in the work together so that you can experience life to the fullest. Release the past and get excited about your future.
